You’re a typical Megatokyo fan-type person (not surprising) stumbling across the DA world wondering if anyone can ever understand your odd Piro fetishes and your desire to own your own PS2 accessory.

Or maybe you’re just a stranger who clicked on a link by accident and have no clue where you are.

Ah, no worries, we’ll accept you!

Us, the Megatokyo fanclub is the l33t club that ‘attempts’ to show the great online comic any sense of justice. For newcomers, Megatokyo in an online comic [link] about the adventures of two um… unique characters who has to run off to Japan to avoid some earlier conflicts and tries to adjust to the crazy anime-filled place we all know and love.

We, the fans will get together and well… just have fun in being together because we’re just adoring fans who do these kinds of things.

Yeah… you may look at us strangely because all we’ve done so far is one contest and add members to our club o.o

But… our ‘envisioned’ club will be full of contests, fun polls, and um… okay, sorry, I’m the uncreative one… but I can assure you it will be uh… GREAT!

So the owners of the Megatokyo Fanclub welcome you to our fun fun club of fun-ness!

Well, maybe my attempt of an introduction swayed you to join with us! WOW, THAT’S GREAT!!

But how do you do this?? Well well… it is a very simple process that even Largo-sama himself would be able to follow! (I uh… hope o.o)

All you have to do is this… Send a NOTE (only note, because if you try to contact us to join in any other way, there’s a possibility we may not receive it) to either the club, or one of the moderators where “JOIN” is in the subject then BAM!! You’re in! (though you have to wait for a note of confirmation. It's faster if you send it to a moderator who tries to be on frequently. I know ~ShiroMakoto and ~ excited-kender are on as often as they can be, but I don't know about either of the other moderators, but we can find out n_n

And if you need to contact me, I can be reached on MSN or e-mail through excited_kender@hotmail.com, or on AIM screenname DalaMajere.

And please keep the journal box checked if you want to be an active member in the megatokyo-fanclub community because we issue updates from time to time.

But… for your end of the bargin… all we just ask is you to always place our icon in your journal entries… you know, to spread the love and all? That’s it… that’s all you have to do!

How do you do that?

In your journal, just type :icon megatokyo-fanclub: but just WITHOUT the space in between the icon and the megatokyo-fanclub Also it would be pretty nifty to see how many members we can get, so when you get a reply, put the club on your watchlist, and see how many people you would know that joins all of a sudden (I know I saw 3 people I knew!)

Also, if you have Megatokyo fanart, send us a note and we’ll place them in our favorites for you to see! ^_^

Parody Newsletters

Okay... I had an idea today... and yes... another pathetic attempt to get this club going (though this time from ~ excited-kender) despite the fact that I'm rarely around a computer, and rarely have any spare time, due to being in so many classes this year (I can spend five hours on homework a night and still be lucky to pull off Cs and Bs in all my classes... I'm one of those As and Bs people) and trying to learn Japanese on the side...

BUT I'm still going to try taking on one more thing, for when I don't feel like doing homework... A parody Newsletter Spin Off of MT... This started as an assignment I have in my Computer Applications class right now. We're supposed to write newsletters... so I did a MegaTokyo one... the second article is still in the process of being made, but it's coming along...

An example (I'll use mine, so you can look foreward to it) would be an article of The Giant Turtle destroying part of Osaka, and one about the new PS2 accessory soon to be released, with a couple of adds in there too

It's okay to have pictures, just give a link to the comic the picture would be from, and which scene from that comic would be inserted into it (if it were in a word document or such). I have an ad for Rent-a-zilla and 'L4rg0's L33t L3ss0ns'

So if anyone wants to start writing articles or giving suggestions for articles, just post them here, I can actually get the the journal entry and the first ten comments on it at school, though nearly everything else is blocked. So I won't be able to sign in, but I can use the ideas and try to get some articles posted when I come here (To ~Kuriyu's house) after school. Otherwise, if there's more than ten comments on this entry, just post it on my (~excited-kender's) front page... I can always get to what's there, and I can't get past the first ten comments here.

So I guess this is just yet one more lame attempt... Though it is really fun to write these ^^ so I guess everyone who has the time, give it a try!

Any complete newsletters posted here will be reposted by the club with your name on it, and given a newsletter number, two or three articles (depending on length) and a couple of ads to each one.
